Pre-Cooking Pre-C | Hungry Education | January 7, 4 consecutive Thursdays, 10am-12pm

A perfect gift for the little foodie in your life! $65 Register here: http://www.hungryeducation.com/prec/prec Space is limited and classes require pre-registration.
These kid-with-parent classes concentrate on food identification, gross motor skills, and sensory development through generally messy, sometimes silly, and always educative hands-on exercises. Pre-C class is 4 weeks long with each week covering a different food or theme. Class is open to toddlers ages 2 1/2 up to preschoolers age 4 and their caregiver. Children make simple snacks each class with additional activities such as singing a song, silly dances and movement, or reading a story to support the lesson.
Hungry Education is the brainchild of Megan Haupt, longtime food educator and mom to a 7 year old picky eater. Megan has built Hungry Education around the idea that healthy eating begins with healthy food relationships. Hungry explores the idea of healthy food relationships through hands-on, no pressure, no agenda, play-based food education. Hungry’s food ed classes, camps, and workshops incorporate movement, music, storytelling, and art into all of their curriculum.

Child Birth Education Classes | Tuesdays, Jan 3-Feb 7, 7pm-9pm (6-week series)

Taking a birth class as a series with other couples is a wonderful way to meet other parents with babies the same age, and create lifelong friendships!

Learn How You Can Prepare For Your Baby’s Birth! This is a 12 hour course and the cost per couple is $360.00 (includes text book).

Covers everything from a natural childbirth right through to a planned C-section so that parents will be aware of all of their choices. The book and curriculum are recommended by Childbirth International; Penny Simkin is a guru in the world of childbirth and doulas and she has a wealth of information to offer, as do the other authors of this book. Best suited for families choosing a hospital or birth center birth. We will cover all of the options and present factual, evidence based information for couples. Schedule the class to be completed prior to the 36th week of pregnancy.

PLAYGROUPS

Most playgroups are all ages, unless otherwise noted. No need to register or sign up; all are welcome to attend. First playgroup is free; otherwise membership is required ($100/year per family) and your family can attend all playgroups.

NEW! 3 Month Membership for $50 Can’t commit to an entire year, but still want to enjoy playgroups and other activities for free or at a discount? This is the membership level for you! To purchase, email us today.

Please keep in mind that we have steps in front of our building. Lilypad does not provide indoor stroller parking; you may borrow one of our bike locks while you are at Lilypad for your stroller! We invite your child to play freely in our space. Sometimes child’s play may seem a little risky to adults. Through play, children acquire confidence, but also an awareness of limits and boundaries. They learn how to be safe. That being said, please supervise your children as you feel comfortable. We do ask that all children leave shoes on for their safety. Ride-on toys should remain in the riding area when there are pre-walkers at playgroup.
