New Consignors   ::     Previous Consignors

Sign up as a consignor with our online tagging system! Check out Consignor 101 for easy-to-follow instructions on how to consign with CityKids. If you’ve consigned with us before, your consignor number and sign-in information are the same. The fee for signing up is just $10. You list your items at the price you want and at the end of the sale, receive 65% of your sales (75% if you volunteer for two sale weekend shifts).

For complete details on how to list and tag your items go to: Consignor 101. A portion of the sale of your items goes to Lilypad, our community playspace at 1234 S. Broad Street with events for parents-to-be, parents and kids.

NEW: No bathtubs may be sold due to new regulations.

Our buyers have told us they want more gear, and more clothing size 3T and up. Check your closets and make some cash!

As a consignor, you prepare your items for sale. You’ll need a computer to enter your items, a printer to print out your tags onto white card stock, hangers for clothes, ziploc bags, safety pins and scotch tape to securely attach your tags to your items. There is no limit to the amount of items you may sell (EXCEPT no more than fifty tagged 0-18 month old clothes; 0-18 month accessories are unlimited). Then drop everything off to us Friday evening before the sale (make sure you schedule a drop-off time between 5:00pm–8:00pm), and we’ll take care of the rest! You do not need to be at the sale. You will receive your payment and sellers report about two weeks after the sale. Make sure your address is correct in My Sale Manager. If you have a PayPal account, you may also be paid by PayPal if you wish.

We are offering a free Consignor 101 class the evening of March 8 from 7pm-8pm to help you learn the ropes and sell more of your items. Don’t be overwhelmed, sign up today! For details, or to sign up, click here.

Tagging Service is Full for Spring 2018 Sale

If you wish to consign, but need help, our tagging service is available to perform all set-up, pricing, tagging of your items and delivery of your items to the sale. The tagging service is available to any registered consignor. Tagging service is open until April 1st. Tagging Service Details: • $25 Tagging fee • You’ll earn 50% of your sales • Tagging service is limited to 200 individual items, no more than 100 articles of clothing (NO EXCEPTIONS) • Email Christina to reserve your slot, pay for the service, and coordinate a drop off time at Broad and Wharton. All items must be in clean, sellable condition and seasonal.

Just want to get rid of your stuff? Donate directly to Lilypad. To donate your goods directly to the sale, email us. We will inventory and price everything for the sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to our registered non-profit Lilypad. Your donation will go directly toward supporting community events at Lilypad. Donations are accepted year-round. Please contact us to set up a drop-off or pick-up time, or just bring your items to any playgroup and leave in our basement donation area! Clean, sellable clothes up to children’s age 12 and maternity; TOYS (our hottest seller); books; baby gear; furniture accepted, and must be in excellent working condition.

Volunteer and Shop Early:
A community event like this relies on volunteers to make it happen. Anyone can volunteer: moms, dads, grandparents, moms-to-be, friends, neighbors. Volunteers shop before the public sale opens, so volunteers can avoid the lines, plus we provide food and snacks!

We need help with:

  • set up (Friday afternoon/evening)
  • inspecting and stocking items before the sale (Friday afternoon/evening)
  • posting signs outside on Saturday morning before the sale opens
  • helping customers during the sale (Saturday and Sunday)
  • breaking down and sorting donations when the sale is over on Sunday afternoon.

Morning, afternoon and evening shifts will be available. Shifts are three hours long. One shift gets you into the Volunteer pre-sale from April 14th. More details at Volunteer 101. Sign up today: sign in to volunteer with your consignor #, or if you are a new CityKids Volunteer, sign up here.

CityKids Consignment Sale is pleased to partner with Mitzvah Circle, Nationalities Service Center, and Circle of Hope. All unsold items that have not been picked up by 5:00 pm Sunday of the sale will be donated to LilypadMitzvah Circle, and Circle of Hope. We are always looking for more charities; if you work for a charity and can pick up on Sunday afternoon, please be in touch.

Who We Are:
CityKids Consignment Sale is inspired by the resale activity on the Kids South of Washington Google group (KSOW), which is managed by Lilypad, formerly known as South Philadelphia Parents Resource Center (SPPRC). This non-profit sale will help raise funds for Lilypad’s playspace, while giving families like yours a way to recycle those much needed kids items out of your overstuffed closets and into someone else’s! We are a group of moms who are volunteering our skills and talents to create this DIY sale to help support our community. CityKids is in it’s 4th year of business, and is 100% run by volunteers.
