Our store is FILLED with books for children of all ages. Check out our new online listing of books that we just don’t have room for in the store, and message us with titles you’d like to purchase. Books are $1 unless otherwise priced. Venmo or PayPal to hold your books. Email us for contact-less pickup or to arrange pickup during store hours. We have 100’s of additional titles in store from board books through to teen and YA books.

Visit CityKids Thrift on Wednesdays from 10-2 and Fridays 10-Noon, at Lilypad, basement level. We have gently used items for newborns up through children age 12.

The store will not accept consigned items and is a fully stocked thrift shop with all you need for baby and kids.

We appreciate your patience as we work to confirm a venue and dates for our regular CityKids Consignment Sale.

Donate
Just want to get rid of your stuff? Donate directly to Lilypad. To donate your goods directly to the support of our non-profit community playspace, email us. We accept donations of your gently-used, baby and kid items in good condition (donations are tax-deductible) during store hours (and at playgroups when they re-open again) at Lilypad.

Whatever doesn’t sell gets donated to local charities! All items will get a second or third use.

  • newborn through children’s clothing size 16/18 — no juniors or adult clothing
  • toys and books
  • baby gear, including strollers, swings, pack’n’plays, bassinets, carriers, feeding and nursing supplies

Stroller Policy

Due to the high foot traffic, we are not allowing strollers to enter the building. There will be volunteers stationed at the entrance to watch strollers during the duration of the sale. (This includes scooters, bikes, and any other like items)

Can my business become a Sponsor? Yes! You can sponsor the sales.  We only open up our sponsorship program in the spring and sponsorship opportunities are now available! Sponsorships are annual, so your business has access to both spring and fall sales. Email us for all you need to know to become a paid sponsor at CityKids. Sponsors can set up a table at the event each day of the two sales.

Consignors:

Sign up as a consignor with our online tagging system! Check out Consignor 101 for easy-to-follow instructions on how to consign with CityKids. If you’ve consigned with us before, your consignor number and sign-in information are the same. The fee for signing up is just $10 (no refunds). You list your items at the price you want and at the end of the sale, receive 60% of your sales (70% if you volunteer for two sale weekend shifts).

For complete details on how to list and tag your items go to: Consignor 101. Proceeds from your items go to Lilypad, our community playspace at 1234 S. Broad Street with events for parents-to-be, parents and kids.

NEW: No bathtubs or rock’n’plays may be sold due to federal regulations.

As a consignor, you prepare your items for sale. You’ll need a computer to enter your items, a printer to print out your tags onto white card stock, hangers for clothes, ziploc bags, safety pins and scotch tape to securely attach your tags to your items. There is no limit to the amount of items you may sell. Then drop everything off to us Friday evening before the sale (make sure you schedule a drop-off time between 5:00pm–8:00pm), and we’ll take care of the rest! You do not need to be at the sale. You will receive your payment and sellers report about two weeks after the sale. Make sure your address is correct in My Sale Manager. If you or your spouse have a PayPal account, please fill out this form to get paid by PayPal (if you chose to be paid by check, we will deduct $3 from your check).


Charities: 
CityKids is pleased to partner with Mitzvah Circle, Nationalities Service Center, Circle of Hope, as well as smaller local charities for local families. All unsold items that have not been picked up by 5:00 pm Sunday of the sale will be donated to LilypadMitzvah Circle, Circle of Hope and more. We are always looking for more charities; if you work for a charity and can pick up on Sunday afternoon, please be in touch.

Who We Are:
CityKids Consignment Sale is a non-profit sale that funds Lilypad, our community playspace, while giving families like yours a way to recycle those baby and kids items out of your house and into someone else’s. We are a group of parents who are volunteering our skills and talents to create this DIY sale to help support our community. The Fall 2018 CityKids was our 10th sale, and is 100% run by volunteers.
