Consignors: At this point, we do not have confirmation that we can host a fall 2021 sale. We are working on it and will announce the moment we have a confirmed space!

See you at one of our Sidewalk Sales at Lilypad! Saturday Sidewalk Sale Dates, 9am-2pm:

9/18    •    10/16    •    11/13    •    12/11

Find out more by following us on  Instagram or Facebook.

Due to the pandemic, we have shifted our efforts to the opening of our new thrift store, CityKids Thrift! Open on Wednesdays from 10-2 at Lilypad, basement level. The store will not accept consigned items and is a fully stocked thrift shop with all you need for baby and kids. We appreciate your patience as we work to confirm a venue and dates for our regular CityKids Consignment Sale.

Just want to get rid of your stuff? Donate directly to Lilypad. To donate your goods directly to the support of our non-profit community playspace, email us. We accept donations of your gently-used, baby and kid items in good condition (donations are tax-deductible) during store hours and during any playgroup at Lilypad.

CityKids Consignment Sale takes place twice a year in South Philadelphia.

Stroller Policy

Due to the high foot traffic, we are not allowing strollers to enter the building. There will be volunteers stationed at the entrance to watch strollers during the duration of the sale. (This includes scooters, bikes, and any other like items)

Can my business become a Sponsor? Yes! You can sponsor the sales.  We only open up our sponsorship program in the spring and sponsorship opportunities are now available! Sponsorships are annual, so your business has access to both spring and fall sales. Email us for all you need to know to become a paid sponsor at CityKids. Sponsors can set up a table at the event each day of the two sales.

New Consignors   ::     Previous Consignors

Sign up as a consignor with our online tagging system! Check out Consignor 101 for easy-to-follow instructions on how to consign with CityKids. If you’ve consigned with us before, your consignor number and sign-in information are the same. The fee for signing up is just $10 (no refunds). You list your items at the price you want and at the end of the sale, receive 60% of your sales (70% if you volunteer for two sale weekend shifts).

For complete details on how to list and tag your items go to: Consignor 101. Proceeds from your items go to Lilypad, our community playspace at 1234 S. Broad Street with events for parents-to-be, parents and kids.

NEW: No bathtubs or rock’n’plays may be sold due to federal regulations.

Our buyers have told us they want more gear, and more clothing size 3T and up. Check your closets and make some cash!

As a consignor, you prepare your items for sale. You’ll need a computer to enter your items, a printer to print out your tags onto white card stock, hangers for clothes, ziploc bags, safety pins and scotch tape to securely attach your tags to your items. There is no limit to the amount of items you may sell. Then drop everything off to us Friday evening before the sale (make sure you schedule a drop-off time between 5:00pm–8:00pm), and we’ll take care of the rest! You do not need to be at the sale. You will receive your payment and sellers report about two weeks after the sale. Make sure your address is correct in My Sale Manager. If you or your spouse have a PayPal account, please fill out this form to get paid by PayPal (if you chose to be paid by check, we will deduct $3 from your check).

Tagging Service

Want to consign without all the work? Register, email to sign up for Tagging Service, and schedule a drop-off and we will take care of pricing, tagging, delivery to sale and set up.

Tagging Service is available to any registered consignor. Signups are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
Tagging Service Details: $20-40 (tagging fee will be set when drop-off appointment is made, payable thru PayPal)

Email Kerri to reserve your slot, pay for the service, and coordinate a drop off time.

All items must be in clean, sellable condition and seasonal. No maternity.

Just want to get rid of your stuff? Donate directly to Lilypad. To donate your goods directly to the sale, email us. We will inventory and price everything for the sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to our registered non-profit Lilypad. Your donation will go directly toward supporting community events at Lilypad. Donations are accepted year-round. Please contact us to set up a drop-off or pick-up time, or just bring your items to any playgroup and leave in our basement donation area! Clean, sellable clothes up to children’s age 12; TOYS (our hottest seller); books; baby gear; furniture accepted, and must be in excellent working condition.

Did you know that whatever doesn’t sell gets donated to local charities? All your donated items will get a second or third use.

Volunteer and Shop Early:
A community event like this relies on volunteers to make it happen. Anyone can volunteer: moms, dads, grandparents, moms-to-be, friends, neighbors. Volunteers shop before the public sale opens, so volunteers can avoid the lines, plus we provide food and snacks!

We need help with:

  • set up on Friday afternoon/evening (no babies allowed at volunteer shifts)
  • inspecting and stocking items before the sale (Friday afternoon/evening)
  • posting signs outside on Saturday morning before the sale opens
  • helping or checking out customers during the sale (Saturday and Sunday)
  • security during the sale Saturday and Sunday
  • breaking down and sorting donations when the sale is over on Sunday afternoon.

Morning, afternoon and evening shifts will be available. Shifts are three hours long. One shift gets you into the Volunteer pre-sale on the Saturday before sale opens. More details at Volunteer 101. Sign up today: sign in to volunteer with your consignor #, or if you are a new CityKids Volunteer, sign up here.

CityKids Consignment Sale is pleased to partner with Mitzvah Circle, Nationalities Service Center, Circle of Hope, as well as smaller local charities for local families. All unsold items that have not been picked up by 5:00 pm Sunday of the sale will be donated to LilypadMitzvah Circle, Circle of Hope and more. We are always looking for more charities; if you work for a charity and can pick up on Sunday afternoon, please be in touch.

Who We Are:
CityKids Consignment Sale is a non-profit sale that funds Lilypad, our community playspace, while giving families like yours a way to recycle those baby and kids items out of your house and into someone else’s. We are a group of moms who are volunteering our skills and talents to create this DIY sale to help support our community. The Fall 2018 CityKids was our 10th sale, and is 100% run by volunteers.
